To export knowledge bases do the following steps:
Decide which knowledge base you wish to export:
If you are in the default adapting mode, to export:
The adaptation knowledge base, move on to the next step.
The glossing knowledge base, change to glossing mode and move to the next step
If you are in glossing mode, to export:
The adaptation knowledge base, change to adapting mode by unselecting the See Glosses option of the Advanced menu. Move to the next step.
The glossing knowledge base, move to the next step.
From the File menu, select the Export knowledge base … option.
Adapt It opens a Save As dialog box. The File name text box contains the suggested name for the file to be saved. This name is the name of the project with the addition of the words "dictionary records." For example, if the project is called "SI Pijin to English," Adapt It creates a file called SI Pijin to English dictionary records.txt. (If you are in glossing mode, the file name also includes the word "glossing.")
Make sure that the folder that Adapt It selects to store the file is the one you want. If not, use the Save in combo box to select the location where you want to store the file.
Be sure that you write down the name of this location so you can find the file when needed.
Click Save to complete the process. If you have already a file by that name, Adapt It displays a message box asking if you want to replace the file. Click Yes to save the new file.
Adapt It saves the file in the desired location.
